“幸存的诗意”前言

我于2017年五月的一个下午，第一次拜访罗敏的工作室，位于北京郊外一个安静的社区里。那是一个非常明亮整洁的工作室，空气中散发着怡人的混合花香，干花经常被她当作入画的材料。

第一次近距离欣赏罗敏作品，我本能的感受到愉悦，画作中呈现出的精细、宁静和深远，和她本人沉静、谨慎而大气的个性是如出一辙的。她的创作题材是多样而广泛的，却有一个共通点：女性对生命本质的内在反省。

坦诚而言，我十分敬佩罗敏所拥有的决心和勇气。为成为一个真正独立而自由的艺术家，为走出中国大陆，她毅然放弃了她的军旅艺术生涯。这意味着对舒适和光鲜生活的牺牲，以此来换得在国际艺术领域里的专业审定。

在2018年初的第37届马德里当代艺术博览会中，其作品受到西班牙群众的高度关注和认可。为此，米格画廊为罗敏在巴塞罗那举办首次个展“幸存的诗意”，此次展览是对艺术家最新创作的精心呈现，我们将能够欣赏其作品的精妙并领会中国当代绘画的风采。

It was one afternoon in May 2017, when I visited Luo Min's studio for the first time, which is located in a quiet neighborhood outside Beijing. It's a quite neat and bright studio, full of the pleasant fragrance of dried flowers, which so often form part of the material of her paintings.

Instinctively, I was delighted to contemplate the delicacy, depth and peace that her works conveyed, which are just as herself: serene, discreet and generous. The themes she involves in her creation are varied, but have something in common: the inner reflection on life, from a female perspective.

I sincerely admire the moral courage and will of Luo Min. For the purpose to be an independent and liberal artist, she gave up her military career obtained by his studies and work in the Academy of Fine Arts of the People's Liberation Army, so that she's able to exhibit outside the Chinese continent. This implies a great sacrifice of a comfortable and assured life, but in return, she achieves a professional valuation in the international artistic world.

Her recent presence at ARCO Madrid 2018 has received great public recognition. Now, Galería Miguel Marcos inaugurates the first solo show of Luo Min in Barcelona: "The Surviving Poetry", a selection of the artist's most recent creation, which allows us to appreciate her work and experience contemporary Chinese painting in Spain.

Fue una tarde de mayo de 2017, por primera vez visité el estudio de Luo Min localizado en un barrio tranquilo en las afueras de Pekín. Estudio muy ordenado y luminoso, lleno de la agradable fragancia de flores secas, que tan a menudo inundan sus lienzos. 

Instintivamente, me complació contemplar la delicadeza, la profundidad y la paz que transmitían sus obras, que son como ella misma: serena, discreta y generosa. Los temas que aborda en sus pinturas son variados, pero tienen en común: la reflexión interior sobre la vida, desde una perspectiva femenina.

Admiro sinceramente la fortaleza y voluntad moral de Luo Min. Para ser una artista independiente y liberal, dejó su título militar, obtenido por sus estudios y trabajos en la Academia de Bellas Artes del Ejército Popular de Liberación, para poder exponer fuera del continente chino. Ello implica un gran sacrificio de abandonar una vida cómoda y asegurada, persiguiendo que sus obras sean conocidas y valoradas en el mundo artístico internacional.

Su reciente presencia en ARCO Madrid 2018 ha tenido una calurosa acogida por parte del público. Ahora, la Galería Miguel Marcos inaugura la primera muestra individual de Luo Min en Barcelona: ¨La Poesía Superviviente¨, una selección de la creación más reciente de la artista, que nos permite disfrutar de su obra y comprender la pintura contemporánea china.
